Crystal Water Music!

Sabbath afternoon, as Christy and I had noble intentions of doing the dishes, we got pleasantly sidetracked by the beautiful sounds that you can make with Crystal goblets filled at various levels with water. While Joel and I improvised with different harmonies Christy added her cello and Caitlin her violin. Our finale was the Carol of the Bells! Enjoy : )!

  1. I'm so glad we got distracted! It was marvelous fun :D I liked how we figured out that the glasses are all different thicknesses and that they also make notes even when they don't have water in them!

    3 cheers for spontaneous improvisation!

Side note: Yay for citation! ;) ;)

  3. Remember when we studied sound with our homeschool group? We collected 8 glass bottles and filled them with various amounts of water. Then we blew across the tops to play "Doe, a Deer." We also built a giant ear on the lawn and you kids were the sound waves to go through it - even hitting an anvil with a hammer! I think you were in kindergarten then!:)
